What this service includes
A chimney takes more weather than any other part of a house, so it is usually the first masonry to go. We fix the parts that fail — crumbling mortar joints, cracked crowns, rusted flashing, and spalling brick — and when the damage runs deeper, we take the stack down to a sound course and rebuild it. Wherever we can, we match the original brick and mortar so the repair does not stand out from the street.
- Brick and mortar joint repair (repointing)
- New concrete crowns and chimney caps
- Flashing repair and rain-leak fixes
- Partial and full rebuilds, above and below the roofline
When to call
Call when you need a practical masonry estimate, visible repair, replacement, new construction, or help understanding whether a wall, slab, patio, facade, or outdoor feature can be repaired or needs to be rebuilt.
Common questions
Does my chimney need a rebuild or just a repair?
If the damage is in the top few courses or the crown, it is usually a repair. When the brick is leaning, the mortar is gone over most of the stack, or you see water inside, that is when we talk about rebuilding from a solid course up. We will look at it and tell you straight.
Why is my chimney leaking when it rains?
Most chimney leaks come from a cracked crown, failed flashing where the chimney meets the roof, or open mortar joints letting water into the brick. We find where the water is actually getting in instead of sealing the outside and hoping.
